Let’s get started with the review then.

This is a story that stays with you forever and I mean it. It will leave you wondering for days about your entire existance. This book takes you on a ride and when the ride comes to an end you don’t know to stop crying or smile that you have learnt something valuable for life.

Have a scoop of the story from the brief synopsis.

Wait!  Before getting to the story let’s know a bit about the man behind these words . The author John Green.

                         JOHN GREEN

John Michael Green (born August 24, 1977) is an American author, vlogger, writer, producer, actor and editor. He won the 2006 Printz Award for his debut novel, Looking for Alaska, and his sixth novel, The Fault in Our Stars, debuted at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list in January 2012.

Apart from being a author . He is a vlogger and youtuber.

Let’s get down to the storyline now .                      WRITING (3).png

Diagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer at 12, Hazel was prepared to die until, at 14, a medical miracle shrunk the tumours in her lungs… for now.

Two years post-miracle, sixteen-year-old Hazel is post-everything else, too; post-high school, post-friends and post-normalcy. And even though she could live for a long time (whatever that means), Hazel lives tethered to an oxygen tank, the tumours tenuously kept at bay with a constant chemical assault.

Enter Augustus Waters. A match made at cancer kid support group, Augustus is gorgeous, in remission, and shockingly to her, interested in Hazel. Being with Augustus is both an unexpected destination and a long-needed journey, pushing Hazel to re-examine how sickness and health, life and death, will define her and the legacy that everyone leaves behind.

Okay ??? Let’s  get to the next segment then .

The writing part.

John green is at its best with this story . The writing was from Hazel’s point of view.  John green’s perfect humour timings makes his books a treat. The dialogues, the description everything is just so captivating that you remember them long after you have finished this book.

Now the fun part!  What brings live to the story ? Great characters right?

Continue reading to know about them …

WRITING (2).png

This is a book with characters  that has the power to break your heart.  ( in a good way)  . I have read this book long back but the characters I carry with me till date . Hazel Grace Lancaster and Agustus waters are sure to bring tears to eyes.

True though 😢

Their dialogues and the way they are structured it brings the story to live.  The way their emotions are portrayed on page are as if you are visualising them before your eyes.

On a literal level the characters are not relatable tbh. (Caz you don’t find cancer patients everyday. Do we ? ) but on a metaphorical level one can highly relate to them. Their insecurities, their fears , their happiness are portrayed so beautifully that you can connect with it emotionally.

Okayy??????

So still curious what I think about this book ? Keep reading  over a overall ranting .
